Recently, there was a discussion about the act of imposing the 30,000-Canadian-dollar limit on altcoins purchases by two Ontario crypto exchanges. The altcoins called into question, excluded the likes of Ether, Bitcoin Cash and Litecoin. In fact, in that discussion, Ethereum co-founder Vitalik Buterin was also included. During that discussion, Vitalik took a dig at XRP. This behaviour of Vitalik was not accepted by the Ripple CTO, David Schwartz in good spirit.

This comment by him created a shock among the XRP community and many of them came forward to criticise Vitalik. In fact, Ripple CTO, David Schwartz also joined the debate. Vitalik referred to the claim made by Ripple that XRP shouldnβt be considered a security, unlike Ether and Bitcoin. In addition, Ripple is also called the two currencies controlled by China.
The Ripple CTO restated the earlier claim by Ripple and said that he thinks βitβs perfectly fair to analogize miners in PoW systems to stockholders in companies.β
