China-based Terri Tai and Daniel Lv, and US-based Kevin Wang, co-founded the Nervos Network in 2018. It is a cross-chain solution offering a suite of DApp development tools with interoperability at the center of its user experience. The CKB coin serves as the foundation for Nervos’ blockchain ecosystem. The Nervos team developed it.
Before we get into the real gritty of Nervos Network price prediction, we’ll go into the fundamentals of this advanced platform, followed by CKB price prediction.
The Ecosystem
Nervos Network (CKB) is an open-source, public blockchain ecosystem and protocols that address flaws in existing blockchain technology. It comprises a set of protocols for building a universal network similar to the internet and interoperability via scalable layer two solutions. Nervos Network (CKB) is attempting to develop an ecosystem of Universal Apps.
Nervos Network’s staff is a pioneer in blockchain technology and associated ventures. As a result, they developed a blockchain that you could use to meet the performance requirements of corporate use cases.
Nervos Network has the following components:
- Godwoken is an EVM compliant layer 2 for decentralized apps based on the Nervos Network layer 1. It is fully Ethereum compatible on the Nervos Network, allowing Ethereum blockchain developers to migrate dApps quickly. It uses advanced account abstraction in the multi-chain solution.
- Lina: Lina, the CKB mainnet, was introduced in 2019. Initially, an open-source genesis block generator was produced, which resulted in the creation of the mainnet. This allows miners and node operators to start and validate Lina independently.
- Grants Program: The grant program began in January 2020. Nervos Network gave a $30 million award to developers and technocrats working on new blockchain infrastructure concepts to introduce new technology, finest developers, and ideas into the ecosystem.
- CKLabs: As part of the project’s operations, CKLabs was formed in May 2020 to assist entrepreneurs in developing applications on the Nervos Network. Startups may successfully promote their goods. They also have access to cryptocurrency venture capital firms like Polychain and Dragonfly Capital.

What is CKB?
CKByte, Nervos’ native token, has the ticker symbol CKB. Having one CKB allows you to save one byte of data on the Nervos Network. The network uses CKB to pay any transaction charge on the ecosystem. Furthermore, CKB uses resource management and incentivization. Participants in the ecosystem can lock the CKB token on Nervos DAO to compensate for locking.
CKByte is used in the ecosystem to pay fees. First, miners must pay the Cycle charge, calculated by CKB-VM. The second is a transaction charge, followed by a state rent to minors for storage space. The miner will receive the entire base issuance and a part of secondary issuance for mining. When the mining benefits run out, the miners will still get state rent.
CKByte is used to start a new cell. The user must own the same quantity as the new cell will take up. CKByte holds this amount until the cell space remains constant. Upon spending the sale, the network releases the CKByte.
Regarding CKByte token distribution, the Nervos Network (CKB) genesis included 33.6 billion CKB. The fresh issuance occurs through either primary or secondary assignments. For a year, secondary issuance has a steady issuance rate of 1.344 billion CKByte.
